I love getting to know clients prior shoot. It is a very important part of my work to get to meet my clients, form a relationship with them, see their children before we meet for the actual shoot and get as much information about what they love to do and how their little and bigger people love to spend their time. Sarah was a lucky winner of our Christmas Sugar and Spice Children’s Market promotion. Being the lucky winner Sarah experienced the Bohemian Secret’s full blown charm … (nothing like 3 pocket phone calls in a row or leaving lens behind at their place). I got to learn Jake loves sticks and walks in the Ballarat Garden especially the fernery where he loves to play chasie. He also is a great helper at home with a particular crush on big broom, golf stick and rake. We have decided to capture Jake at both locations he enjoys and feels happy. Here is a few images from our session as you can see sticks are very important … I still have to smile when remembering a moment in the fernery, where I looked for a stick for Jake and found a little branch which in Jake’s eyes obviously was not impressive, seeing his little face checking that little stick I decided to look for a bigger one which I was lucky to find … the moment of Jake spotting the big stick and dropping the little was amusing … his eyes spoke without words .. “now that is what I call a stick … ” and off he went …
Thank you Sarah and Jake for the beautiful morning together. I have so much enjoyed being a part of a 18months old world again … the importance of bark to dig in .. dimples on still baby elbows and gorgeous little fingers exploring what to us without watching our children growing would be just ordinary things …
